Our villages
Two villages active. Nine in scouting, two further locations already secured and still discreet. The first village in Istria (Croatia) is complete, and in Madeira (Portugal, land notarised to scholarium AG by escritura on 22 August 2025) the Orange Valley is fully planned and in the permitting process.

Istria, Croatia
25 homes on 8 hectares, completed in 2026 to the UPU-licensed plan by architect Drita Novak. Rolling hills, olive groves, three airports within 40 minutes.

Madeira, Portugal
50 homes on 50 hectares, the Orange Valley. Land notarised to scholarium AG by escritura on 22 August 2025. Masterplan by nuum studio (Wojtek Komorowski), now in the permitting process. Partnership with A Place to Be.

Our story
citadel.garden was founded by Rahim Taghizadegan: economist, physicist, last Austrian economist of the Austrian School in the direct tradition. The goal: stop waiting for institutions to adapt and quietly build something better, starting with land, homes, and real deeds.
The first village was built in Istria, on land already designed for families seeking long-term stability. In Madeira, the land was notarised to scholarium AG by escritura on 22 August 2025, in partnership with the A Place to Be community.
From these foundations a network is growing, village by village, deed by deed. Each one shaped by its land, its people, and its purpose.
